Laura is the proud owner & team leader of Shine Hair Color & Design Studio, a national award-winning hair salon. She has been a hairstylist for nearly 30 years. Laura thrives on education, which has given her extensive knowledge of hair color chemistry, advanced hair cutting, and how to cut & care for naturally curly hair. She prides herself on being a professional and is dedicated to being a leader and mentor in her salon.
Laura is an American Board Certified Hair Colorist and a former technical trainer with Wella Hair Color. Her background in hair color comes from learning with True Hair Education, Wella, Beth Minardi, Candy Shaw and L’Oréal. Laura is a curl-by-curl cutting stylist, trained by Lorraine Massey. She is a Vidal Sassoon educated hair cutting stylist and a Deva-Chan Curl Certified Specialist. She has also trained with Oribe, Bumble & Bumble, Sonna Brado, and Nick Arrojo, to name a few.
Laura has impeccable attention to detail. She is honest when giving you realistic expectations about your hair. This is what sets her apart and allows her to customize your service.

Chrissy started in the beauty industry as a part-time assistant in 2005. She has a degree in Communications and Public Relations from Drexel University. She moved to Columbia and helped with the creation of Shine Hair Color & Design Studio. Chrissy is integral in helping Shine Hair Color & Design Studio function efficiently every day.
Chrissy truly enjoys getting to know our guests and maintaining professional and friendly relationships with each one. She holds herself to the highest standard of customer service and strives to create a positive experience for every person she comes in contact with. Chrissy is very passionate about her career and always loves learning new ways to create an unforgettable experience. She continues to take a variety of classes and has earned multiple certifications in management, leadership and team service from the best in our industry.
Jessica is a third generation hairstylist, originally from the South Shore of Boston, MA. She has been in love with the beauty industry since she was a young girl. Jessica graduated from Paul Mitchell the School in Columbia.
Jessica enjoys learning everything about hair and sees the importance in keeping your hair healthy. She is passionate about hair color, including highlighting and gray coverage. Jessica is a curly girl herself and has learned to accept and work with her curly hair. She is here to help you start your curly hair journey!
